An interesting article from yesterday's Globe and Mail on the problem of needles and possible solutions researchers are coming up with to solve said problem. A fear of needles is one of the most common phobias of people - that and public speaking are probably rated the highest (hopefully there'll be no way to combine those two to create a whole new phobia, but that's another entry).
It's interesting to look at the solutions people are coming up with, and to think how user involved - or even user testing! - will play a role. What lesson to draw out of the experience (pardon the pun)? My own take on a metaphor - perhaps that in the marketplace of ideas, the person open to only one possible solution or approach is a pauper, not a king.
